[America wakes up outside of town, surrounded by trees. She's extremely confused as to where she is, how she got there, what the hell she's wearing, and how a pair of light blue wings somehow got attached to her back. She notices a journal on the ground next to her, and picks it up. Flipping through the pages, it becomes clear this is no ordinary journal. She decides to try talking at it to see what happens.]

OK, whose journal is this, and where the fuck am I? More importantly, where are my clothes? I was kind of in the middle of kicking this pendejo's ass and I can't do that in some flimsy dress. Plus, it's fucking cold out here.

[Deciding that's good enough for now, she closes the journal and takes to the sky, trying to figure out where exactly she is. She spots a town in the distance and heads that way...]

[Where it's nice and warm within the coffeeshop. Kate grins, holding up her steaming cup of coffee in greeting.]

Am I ever happy the Malnosso decided to dump me here in July.

Kate. Where are you? And how do I get my clothes?

[Whoa, wait a second there. Since when do these journal things come with nametags? She blinks, looking at the journal with surprise.

Thankfully, no coffee is spilled in the confusion.]

Well yeah, I know you, Princess. I've only been traveling the multiverse with you for months.

[The princess gets a bit of a nose wrinkle. She's not exactly sure what to make of the nickname but she's pretty certain that she doesn't like it.]

Hate to break it to you, but this is the only part of the multiverse I've been since July.

[Great. It doesn’t take someone like Bruce Banner to figure out what’s going on here. Kate winces as she pieces everything together. For whatever reason, at some point in her (presumably near) future, abandoning Barton to run around the multiverse this chick is going to look very appealing.

Somehow, she manages to keep herself from scowling too much.]

I'd ask for more details, but there's probably some rule about this whole timeline thing.

[At the very least, it's what she and Tommy had decided upon. Not mentioning to the others about Cassie and Jonas' fates. Or the way the team disbanded.]
